I knew Roo Paul was a rooster, but he is several months old and has never displayed any such behaviors. He is shy, clumsy, bullied by the hens. Today he crowed for the first time! He is so beautiful and not aggressive at this time. What do you suggest? No children interact with the chickens.

This may help. Bear in mind that your keeping arrangements may be different.
But, the article will tell you a bit about what you can expect.

He sounds like he may end up being a good boy. He may just be maturing slowly. It's good that the hens are teaching him some manners.

I have a 3.5 year old rooster and a 7 month old cockerel. The rooster is still pushed around by my top hen, but I am ok with that. She rules the roost, but he still makes sure all the girls come in for the night and alerts them to hawks (and planes, and butterflies and falling leaves).

I personally like roosters and keep several of them. If you're looking for feedback on whether you should keep him, are there any reasons why you wouldn't?
I guess just inexperience and not knowing how the dynamic will change in the run. All the hens are friendly and affectionate.
