First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I'm raising Freedom Rangers, got them 12/23. They have just feathered out pretty good. They've been inside a heated shed. It's been cold 21-24 at night here in NC. It's warmer thus weekend 53-60, during the day. Can they go out now? Do they require grit?

From my experience.. I have micro farms both in Florida and Indiana the chicks need to be a bit plee more like atleast four weeks old atleast they also have to be climatized to whatever environment they will be put into but if it gets in the 60s during the day and 20s at night I'd hold off wild temp changes will wreck them

I was so close to getting some CX's today but the land I was going to put them on fell through and that meant I had to pull the plug on the purchase :(. I've copied and pasted stuff from this thread since its been really really informative! Hopefully I get things sorted with the family members and I'll have my new meaties by the end of this month.

It looks like I'm sending the rest of the meaties to freezer camp today. One is having a hard time walking. I got them from mt healthy on Oct 1 as day old chicks

this was taken 2 days ago :) I only have 9 cornish x meaties and 2 black astrolorp roosters left to do. I'm on the fence about sending off my Narragansett turkey pullet to freezer camp.
She's so mean to the other birds, but she will comeif I call her. She likes to go over to the abandoned neighboring property if I let her free range, but when I call her name she comes back over the fence. That's kinda smart for a turkey, right?
