Holm: I didn't know you were a genius but congratulations on determining your awesome talent! I score very high on IQ tests myself. I may very well be a genius as well.

this is my "house chicken" Lucky. He stays in a cage, lol. He has developed the talent of crowing....at 3am.Which is the time I USED to have my alarm clock set at.
His cage is 8ft from my bed.The first time he done it,I almost had a heart attack.lol

He is a pretty guy. How in the heck can you stand having a rooster sleep in the house? We couldn't stand the ones that were outside.

We wound up with 7 EE roosters in our last order and we already had one big naughty rooster. My hubby downsized that number though and the one that was left went to the rented pasture with the rest of the girls. My rooster that was here at home exited because he had been chasing me. I had to carry a racquet with me whenever I went into the yard. If I looked at him, he'd act like he was pecking around and being good. When I turned my back, I'd hear him come running. Spurs hurt and leave gnarly welts. Needless to say, he was the first to go.

With the roosters gone, we have slept great once again!

My house chickens are a couple of EE pullets. We have a plastic tub that we just keep set up with food and water. When they come in, they walk straight in and hop into the box. Love these girls!

@Jessica I've all ways liked to hear a rooster crow.My wife Thinks I'm crazy because me and Lucky talk to one another. He makes a growling noise, and I growl back. He clucks,I cluck back. He crows, I crow back.lol My wife says I get him all worked up.But we are just talking chicken

I totally get chicken talk. You should hear me quack to my ducks. We are totally talking duck and I'm sure that I understand them. "Quack, hey staff, quack, feed me." Lol! They are as bad as meat birds!!
