First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

You don't need a microscope to see these guys.
Actually you are looking for the eggs which are the evidence of worm infection. There are worms you will never see, just their eggs. You need to know what kind of worms to de-worm against. I saw cecal worms boiling in a cecal poop...

My chickens are confined and have always been confined. This means they got worms from infected soil inside the new coop, but no chickens have been on our property. So they were brought in, in my 3 birds I purchased. Obviously the de-wormer I used before adding them to my flock was not effective against cecal worms. I did not carry the sample to my Vet to find out they had cecal worms and never saw one.

As with all things, I do a ton of reading. I like to hear other view points, even the ones I don't agree with.lol
I'm still miffed about them pulling freon 12.
Never understood WHY they don't use propane in auto ac.
It has nearly the same expansion rates as freon 12. And you'd know if it was leaking.

LOL propane would be fun... I sure would need a different set of gauges for that.

Yeah the 12 and 22 cool a lot better than the new refrigerants,,, but the ozone layer is rather important..although I am sure there are lots of other things that may be the cause.... not sure if they really know what the cause is, but have to try something I guess

Propane is used as a refrigerant, some goober decided it would be too explosive. Which is BS. They use it to run engines, why not charge the ac also. Like I said a leak would be immediately known.

The federal government will not let the automotive industry use "fly by wire" steering. They require a mechanical link between the driver and the tires. If jet fighters can use it.cars should too.

JR are you done hatching for the year?

I am asking because I have decided to end. I am still getting an egg a day from Bertha and Bert. If you not done I could send you some, (legally even)!

I need to get you some pictures of their babies.

Ralph i was just talking to JMF Quail farms yesterday,We are getting high temps here all most a month earlier than normal. They told me if i wasn't so close (2hrs) they would either cancel or postpone my order till fall.
I was really impressed that the man took the time to call me. The high heat is just too damaging to eggs and chicks. An unairconditioned vehicle can see temps of over 180 degrees while sitting in the sun closed up around here. Unopened coke can exploded the other day
