Nice bone, looks cockerel don't ya think?

Yep, pretty sure it's a cockerel. I followed the show meat bird model at first by feeding them 30% Startena to develop a good keel. They've been on Nutrena Meatbird 22% since.
Here they are out grazing like crazy. I enticed them by overseeding the field with rye and fescue and they are devouring the tender shoots. I'm watching them play and, all of a sudden, they dart (speedy wobble) back into the tractor just as a vulture glides over head. They're not the dumb brutes others have described.

my 9 year Olds first fill processing. She was very proud.

I let "Foghorn" the Cx out,immediately the two EE jumped him. I let them go at it for a little while hoping hecould get his bluff in on them. He tired out quickly and I intervened. The EE males are extremely obnoxious. Their spot for freezer camp has been booked.
