First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

the Ee look like bantams next to "Foghorn"

Foghorn is a nice looking bird. IS he a whelps slow grow?

I am taking my Toads to the birds show. They will not let me show them, as they are not a "real breed". BUT I have a sale permit for the show, so I will have a couple of the roosters in my truck for sale at an VERY high price just to show people what beautiful birds they are. I really do not want to sell any. I want them for breeding in the spring, and to cover winter losses. I am thinking of putting $100.00 on them.

Hopefully no one will buy them at that price, or I may go up higher.

A coopers hawk made an unsuccessful run at some 12 week olds that refuse to stay in the pen. Haven't seen one of them in these parts in over 20 yrs.The whole flock,to include the turkeys, took off in the hawks direction. I took off for something else.... It didn't hang around.

I am adding white birds. I hope lots of them.

My CLB White sports. Check Meyers Hatchery out and look at theirs! The price is ridiculous for a day old, I can sell you an adult bird for that price.

Those hawks are vicious! I once caught the same Coopers Hawk twice in a pigeon trap. First time a local scientist banded him and released him. That's how I knew it was the same one.
