First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I know, I meant a real meat breed, when I say meat breed I don't always mean Cornish cross. It's just a heads up so you don't get something that lays tons of eggs and doesn't have much of a carcass.

And yes, I know one is a Naked Neck Turken and the other is a Barred Plymouth Rock.

I shouldve only posted the weird brownish Barred one and the group pic, because the brownish Barred and the golden white blotched are all I need.

Those look like production egg laying crosses using the barred rock and the new Hampshire red or Rhode island red

The white and red is a golden comet type the other is a Rhodebarr. Actually have both breeds

IMO the barred rock is good alternative to the cornish. They used to be used as broilers.

I've never seen the appeal of a NAKED CHICKEN. Mosquitoes and sunburn would be their ruin

Yeah there are downfalls, the breed haven't been perfected

Also rhodebar sounds plausible but do you think it could be a biefelder.

Most assuredly. I'm going strictly off the coloring
