Yeah, I find it funny how I bought him at Petco for $30 and he's worth around $200

I'd like quail and I want them, but I'm too addicted to chickens. If I turned and got quail, no going back.

Hi! This is my first chicken egg (only one- the others passed) and I just made this account so I'm pretty new. It's day 24 of a pretty rocky incubation- temp has been fine the whole time but the humidity was too high the first 18 days and while I thought it was fine during lockdown the air cell has almost doubled (though its now about where it should be). I float tested today and had movement, and candled for the heck of it and possibly due to the movement and I could see him trying to pip the internal membrane.

I was going to help, but seeing the movement made me stop. When do I help? Is there something I should be doing? I will do anything to save little Ham (he was in a green egg )

View attachment 1034686 View attachment 1034687 Came home to my chickens eye/head swollen yesterday. It's about 8 weeks old and lives with it's fellow sisters. They get along great. She is still very active and eats. Doesn't seem to have respiratory problems and the area doesn't seem abnormally warm. The other chicks are fine. Does anyone have ideas as the the cause and solution?

There is a forum just for these kind of questions... it's called emergencies and diseases or something similar... it would stand a better chance of getting answered there....
