First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I suspect my dad only owns that one tie. It has shown up to numerous "dressy" occasions. I think that tie may make your outfits really sing... and your daughter cringe to a whole new degree!

Their plot is working.. I felt so "cool" when we were there. Emotionally and physically. It was kind of chilly. My cousin was laughing at me because I put on a sweater.

I gave you the finger** on this one! Just because......... roflmbo.......( see I even learned my lesson there)

Having lived on or near the north shore for most of our lives, when we first moved to Florida (before moving back to MN) we would see the "bell ringers" at xmas time outside the stores in parkas and with their hands in their pockets with just the bell outside the pocket ringing.. We would laugh at them and they would sneer at us in our cut-offs and Tee shirts marveling at the great weather!

** the finger is not what so many of you are thinking it is, shame on you all for having a vulgar cussing mind!

The North Shore is sure chilly. Where I am in Colorado is not very chilly. We have some ungodly cold snaps here and there, but the winter is usually sunny, 30's to 40's with occasional warm snaps in the 60's. Hmm, is it called a "warm snap" or something else? I really have no clue. The news people say "unseasonably warm".
Anyhow, I am sure I would not have my hands in my parka in Florida in the winter, I would probably have on pants and a sweater. I am always cold. I have been compared to reptiles before...

How are those white eggs coming? Anymore?

Not having a smart phone or camera I've never learned to post pictures or anything. Perchiegirl is trying to help me but I did learn to add a signature and post a picture. These are not mine but from a long ago post of a person that's left the forum. They are identical to my birds. Regal!!! I have 3 pullets and 2 roosters. As soon as I go pick up the good one. Paid for it. I'm going to do a LOT of hatching after the first of the year. Also I've got eggs coming in. Marraduna Basque and Lavender Australorps. Shipping Monday. I hope. I'm gonna be busy!!!!

Congrats on all the learning! Technology drives me crazy. It is a love hate relationship, for sure.
Maybe you can post pics of your little babies when they hatch!!

M&M I am getting a little white egg every other day, IT is not a CX egg. the CX's do not go into the coop with the nest boxes.

You should move in with LindaB, she raises alligators and they are reptiles. She would know how to keep you warm. I am fairly sure it will evolve adult beverages.

Ha! I believe I have seen Linda state, numerous times, she does not have gators, so she may not take me in.

But, I would sure be happy to head somewhere warmer and eat jambalaya and gumbo! And of course have a couple of adult beverages to keep the chill off at night.

I wonder who your sneaky white egg layer is?

LInda is continuing the LA lie regarding Alligators. The LA bureau of tourism wants all residents to deny alligators exist so people keep visiting.....

I have no idea who the white layer is. I thought it might be my white EE but she lays olive, My Delaware lays a pinkish brown one, and I doubt my white rock lays a white eggs, so I am at a loss.

I think I need to clean my coop today, it has been so humid the bedding/chips are holding moisture now,,,,,GOSH DARN warm spell!

We got our first CornishX egg. It was brown and it is for sure hers because I watched her lay it we also got our first EE egg.

We also bought two turkeys a Blue Slate hen and a Narragansett hen but the dogs chased the Narragansett hen and she ran and hid . Then we found her and she ran around a corner of the woods and was gone have not seen her since .

Ralphie I kind of maybe ate it before I remembered a pic but I weighed it on our egg scale and it weighed over extra large. And it was a double yolker .

Raphie and Mountain Mom first of all, I don't do alligators, (anymore). AND what's worse is I don't do Cajun food. I'm from the North of La and we only do normal southern cooking.

Okay, now it's working. I can't talk without my smileys. Going to finish punching down my dough and bake me a loaf of artisan bread. Yum.
