JR, has the slow broiler gone ?

Do you have DC local to you to breed with this year or will you have to hatch out & breed next year ?

I have just ordered some Buff Rocks hatching eggs from a breeder which will go well with my sustainable meat project.

The slow broiler rooster went to freezer camp. By the end of next month i will. Have his replacement

Found this this afternoon. Figure it got caught on a sharp edge of the feed trough. Took it to the er (neighbors an er nurse) and it got 3 stiches. It might go to freezer camp if it starts acting weird.

It was running around and eating like the rest when I let them out. My daughter showed her to me and was like kill it, it is gross.

How do you and what do you use to weigh your birds with. Hate thought of using my kitchen scale. Dirty birds.
