I only had one white jg hen and rooster. Im hoping for a couple pure breeds from the chaos.lol

In the mix of females in the pen were two DC,one Jg,two barred rocks,and one colored dorking,and of course the broilers. This is why i sent all the roosters to freezer camp. I couldn't keep track of who was doing what!

Very cool! Congrats on all the hatchlings what are your plans with all the different cross chickies?

I just got back in town and the hubs had sad news for me, we lost a chick while I was gone. Since the cornish x are in with the ducks, I put a (what I thought) shallow bowl of water in the coop and a chick went in and drowned. I even had a giant rock in so they could climb on the rock and get out if one fell in.

Other than that, it's so good to be home! My silkie cross eggs look to be developing

Sorry about the loss!! As for as what Im planning,I'm workingvtowards a broiler hybrid that is consistent in weight gains that will still lay enough to sustain the numbers I'm wanting to keep
