I got first prize in the article writing contest for my "raising large table birds" essay.

I think from now on I want you, and my you I mean JR, to refer to me as Dr Ralph.

As well as my 20 meat chicks I have coming this weekend I will be setting these eggs from my mate

The hens are a Sasso broiler chicken and the Cockerel is an Ixworth which is an old English DP breed which also lays well.
My mate started his project last year with me but he is using Ixworth while my plan was to use DC but a blend of both could also work very well.

I just helped one out of the egg. Ive noticed that a few have a really hard time hatching,they appear to be too large for the egg.Is that even possible?? What say you Doctor Ralph
