You'll have to look up the catfish. I have Blues and channelcats that are well over two feet long. They make short work of a 4-1/2 lb bird

And the Malays,saipan ,shamo or known as oriental games. They have a very rich history. The Malay have been used in many of the "modern" breeds. And yes,they too are aggressive. But not like the asil

The Saipan,made interesting hybrids. They are not aggressive towards people. It made a big difference in my birds temperament

You've obviously been looking into how the breeds were developed. I applaude your efforts. Many people don't take the time to learn the history behind the many different breeds. It makes for excellent reading!!

Thank JRNash, I know that the Cornish is an Asil, Malay, and Old English Game cross. The Modern Game is very close to the Cornish. Both Modern Game and Cornish are used as stock for meat breeds.

Anyone have experience with Whitemore Farms Delaware Hens? They bred them to be excelllent for meat.

I have Whitmore Delawares, but I have only butchered extra cockerels. I do have a few hens that are not laying as well as I would like (small eggs), so as soon as I figure out which ones they are I will be butchering them. I like the birds overall, but they really do not have much breast meat if that is what you are after. (I actually prefer dark meat so I am fine with that, but the carcass isn't as impressive).
Right now I am covering the hens with a production red for sex-links- keeping hens as layers and butchering cockerels.

If a traditional Cornish Cross is made from a White Cornish rooster on a White Plymouth Rock, what would happen if you put a Dark Cornish rooster on a Black Rock hybrid. A color negative Cornish Cross?!
