First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

Cool article GP. I was poking around for scale options (I think I want more than one type down the road) and came across world record weights for chickens:

"Weirdo" 22 pounds extremely aggressive rooster that killed cats and attacked dogs. White Sully. 1970s

“Big Snow.” He weighed 23 pounds and 3 ounces. White Sully. 1992

"Big Boy", CornishRockX, official live weight of 24.18 pounds. Standing approximately 15” at the shoulder, "Big Boy’s" upward reach was well over 20” and his body girth was around 28 inches. 2012

The White Sullies seem to have been extremely active despite their size and super aggressive, like guard dog aggressive tear through wire cages to get at target orf their attack, dogs, cats, other roosters...

Anyway these are the big boys I guess in the record books.

Haven't weighed them yes but they feel meaty enough.

This is the Slow growth x Medium growth Sasso's
Like the medium growth Sasso's they have bad movement and probably wouldn't make breeding age.

Check out Ralph's Toads. I can see a CX hitting 15 lbs live weight easily. The trick is NOT letting them

That is another one of my hybrids. He is as tall as my Royal Palm turkeys. And he isn't the biggest one running around in the yard

Those are Sasso Broilers, bred by Sasso for the French label rouge program. Dave was getting Sasso eggs until he started them breeding himself. Most of us only have Cx avalible too though, may he freedom rangers.

nahh, i see.. i live in indonesia that only have CX for broiler, and difficult for import new bird. maybe i'll try with CX x RSL
