First show disappointment, normal?

Well I think I was simply disqualified, so I'm not sure if he was obligated. The "seriousness" of the show didn't dawn on me until I went home and saw the judges picture in my APA SOP book!

Also...I'm not in 4H...I'm in my 20s
But like you said, the judge could of at least let you know why.

You weren't too harsh at all! I knew that the color wasn't standard but I was certain that's what the AOV class was for, or maybe I'm wrong. Here's a picture of him!

He is a very attractive looking fella!

He is a pretty boy. But his comb is a little off. Its much to large and sticks up above the head to much. He likely has some single comb genes in him too. Its what is called a "modified pea comb". Also his leg color is off. Amercaunas should have dark slate legs. Yours is kinda between slate and white.

Thank you! I knew his comb was weird but I didn't know what to call it. The DQ makes a little more sense now, thanks!

Also his color doesn't really fall into any variety "accepted or non-accepted". He is basically a blue with silver leakage. But not enough that I'd consider him a Blue Silver Duckwing.
