We had our first snow -- and snowstorm! -- of the year yesterday. At first (Tuesdayish), the meteorologists were thinking we'd only get 1-3". That was quickly upgraded to 5", then 6"...then to anywhere up to 15" depending on proximity to Lake Michigan: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/grr/snowmap/?image=SnowMap20091204_0000.png At our house, we ended up with about 6". Ah, lake-effect snow...

Here is my house this afternoon around 4:30pm when the snow slowed down enough I could take my camera outside.
