FIRST TIME ATTEMPTING TO HATCH EXOTIC FOWL. 2014 EMU HATCH-A-LONG

Wow 40 days!!!!! Had a friend in Naples who raised them and never found out how long the incubation process was. They are so extraordinary.

Howdy hatch-alongers! sorry It's been like a couple if week since I've posted an update, just between one of my pet goats dieing, as well as a family member, and having the flu, things have been a little crazy.

Anyways, The two emu eggs are doing fine, They have been losing between 20-10 grams every week. and I've been trying to keep the temp at 96.5-97 degrees, with 30-40 percent humidity. Monday marked the third week of incubation for egg A. I just hope theres a little emu growing inside

I got a third emu egg today! I will wait a couple days before putting it in the bator. (saving it for the huge easter hatch-along). This is the BIGGEST EMU EGG yet!!! Soon I will start to wiggle check egg A. since it's coming on to it's 4th week of incubation.
