I just looked it up from the American Emu Association new born chicks can be vent sexed but older and adult can only be told apart by a DNA test.

Yeah, I did hear about that. But I wonder if the whole "bulls-eye on head" thing holds any truth?

I wiggle tested my third emu egg today, and it WIGGLED! So all three were fertile!!

I vent sexed mine. The bullseye thing isn't very reliable, maybe mostly because its hard to tell if the bullseye is district enough. The vent sex and bullseye thing didn't really match up.

I was given three, but I will hatch all that are given to me, so if next year I'm offered more I will totally take them

Its not that easy. But if you think its a boy, its def a boy. If you don't see anything then it could be a girl or you might not have a good enough view. I'd say its an art I have 50% mastered heheheh
