That thought did indeed cross my mind Highlander.

I get the distinct impression my farmer neighbors would have a lot more problems with me growing out batches of crowing roosters than batches of quiet 'roosters'.

I did read that it is illegal on your side of the ocean. It is unfortunate, but how many chicken police are running around looking for hobbyists?
