mainly because of the color.. others have yellow, his is getting pink.. early hormones is a major sign of cockerels.

Are BR hard to sex until older ?
I’ve read that most BR roo’s are a lighter color feather..but the color of waddle is for sure different than the rest..
Also read others thinking their BR hen was a roo up until 4-5 months old...
I guess we’ll see !

Lavender Orp is noticeably biggest of the 5..getting pretty feathered in now..

Would love to get them outside to play but it rains 8 out of 7 days a week so they are forced to watch the rain thru the glass with their sister who is also itching to get outside for some fresh air ..

Girls (or girls & boy) got some outside play time today and got to test out the new coop waterer ...

6 weeks today. Have spent a week in coop, seem to be happy. Kept the warmer in the first few nights just for some familiarity for them. Night 5 they all went in the coop by themselves. Our babies are growing up so fast !!
