First time Chicken Farmer...lets do this!!!

Hi everyone I am Shari and I hope I get to use the resources on this page to learn everything i need to know! I am 29 and live in Colorado Springs and FINALLY talked my husband into having chickens! He agreed to 3 but i came home with 6 because there are just so many to choose from! I have a black silkie (jager), Speckled Sussex (bourbon), Deleware (angel), silver lace wyndatte (guiness), Americana (bumper), and a buff orphington (brownie) I love them all but my Silkie is my FAVORITE!

Silkies are a very popular breed, not the best layers but, generally docile , and a kid's favorite.
