Hi All,
I my husband and I are new the the urban chicken farming scene. We got 4 chicks in June and here we are almost January and 3 of them have just now started to lay eggs! Thats why we got them, for egg production. We have a RIR, Barred Rock, a Buff and a California White. It has been a rewarding adventure raising these chicks, but it has also been met with several challenges. But at the end of each day it has been totally worth it. I am find that I am asking questions every day about our flock, be it about the coop, to the cold weather to what foods they like to eat. I was constantly coming to BYC for advice and I figured its about time I join. Thanks for the support.
