Hello There!

Been doing some research as too when the POL is for my white leghorn and ISA brown hens without much luck,

They are both now just over 20 weeks old, they both have large red combs and wattles and i believe they should start laying soon, as yesterday i noticed they are both squatting when i go to pet them.

Am i correct?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Regards,

Lucas

They are very close, my girls started squatting for me about a week before we saw the first egg. It is exciting! And after a year of collecting eggs, I still smile when I see eggs in the nesting boxes, it never gets old!

We have hens that provide many colors of eggs. Every day is like an Easter Egg hunt at our house! The little neighbor kids just love to come over on Sunday mornings to help clean the coop and hunt for their eggs.

Hope you chickens start laying soon.

Here are a few things that might help them to start laying!
1. Mix cayenne pepper in with their mash.
2. Put a heat lamp in their coop.
Hope this helps.
