First time chicken mom

Hey there!
I finally was able to talk my husband into chickens! I think iv been a member of this site for over three years!
We live in Merritt Island and just adopted 4 baby chicks. One black giant, one americana, one red cross, and one golden sexlink.
My dad is here from TN now turning our girls playhouse into a fort knox coop with a 16ft run. Im looking forward to
learning and meeting other chicken people.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens Jessi great of you Dad to build a nice coop ask him to use hardware cloth not chicken wire

That is exactly what we got! I don't know if its necessary but we are also using another piece of wood on the inside and sandwiching it in. I will share pictures when it is finished!
