Hello all, Iām a new chick owner and after two weeks Iām very attached! I have wanted them for several years after renting a place where the landlord had themā¦ I adored their noises and watching them. After trying to catch a full grown chicken someone dumped in the woods at a park with no success, I decided this is the year to go for it!
I got five different kinds at a farm store and theyāre lovely. The Silver laced Wyandotte, Buff Orp and Red Sex Link are growing like champsā¦ the Sapphire olive Egger and Cream legbar are much smaller. I think itās normal, except the cream legbar is having issues with a swollen and squishy crop. I found this website after searching for info. Iāll post about that separately.
I also have a giant GSD puppy and 3 cats! I need to decide on a coop and get one set up asap. Exciting!
