Hello all! I am from Sonoma County. We (my boyfriend and I) have just started taking our first steps towards having a flock of our own. Originally we only wanted 4 to 6 chickens.....we have 13 now and have had to expand the coop twice. We got the fever! haha

Growing up, my family had chickens and turkeys so I have always wanted some of my own and we finally took the leap!

Oh and we got our first two eggs this week!!!!! Our flock ranges from 3 weeks to roughly 4 or 41/2 weeks (this is why we were so excited for the first egg! so early) DON'T WORRY the younger ones are separate from the older girls.

I am looking forwards to turning to this site for help in the future!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Sounds like you caught the chicken addiction bug! You'll keep adding and adding to your flock until you can't fit anymore!

Congrats on getting your first eggs! Those sure are egg-citing!
