Hi there

We have 5 hens/roosters. Well fingers crossed we have 5 hens! So I am going to put it out there for all you other chicken lovers (and believe me i was not one of them until we got some .. now I spend waaaay too much time with them) if you can please help me determine if these silkie crossbred chickens are hens or roosters :)

thanks :)

the photo is of our two new chickens - any thought on what the front one may be?
so it turns out we were right and they found their voices this morning nice and loud! Had to take them back to where we got them and swapped them for two new ones :) Another silkie x and another hen... not sure what she is though! Now I am having doubts about the other 3 we had! Maybe I could post their pictures too and you can help decide (a) what the other hen is and (b) if you think any of the remaining are roosters or hens :) thanks for your advice!

The new bird is female, she could be a mix with Easter egger blood, game hen, something like that.

Feel free to post pics of more birds!

Here are the other chickens we have ..
First, Rhode Island Red - about 13 weeks
second, our other Rhode Island Red - 13 weeks
lastly our Orphington - not sure how old though ...
