Congrats on your new birds! I have runner mixes and I absolutely love them. They make wonderful pet's. You only have to worry about the defects if you hatch out the eggs. It is the offspring that have the problem's and it is usually pretty obvious. If he was laying down with his leg stretched then it was fine. They just like to stretch out that way! Enjoy your pet's!
