Hello everybody,
we've finally made our dream come true and got some ducks, we have one Pekin and 2 Cayuga.
The Hatchery told us that we can just keep the ducks with the chicks and it took us a whole 30 minutes watching them that that is just not a good idea, they were really picking on each other, so we went a head and built a little duckling brooder for the duckies only.
that milkjug in the brooder is something I read on here, I cut holes in it towards the bottom so they can stick their heads in it and dunk.
They also have a regular waterer.
Any tips and tricks are appreciated.
I tried the brooderlamp on several different levels and the way it's set now it's 95 degrees on the bottomlevel.
we named the Pekin Butterball, the Cayugas don't have names yet.
Thank you!!!
