First time experiencing chicken math

Broodies do not count! They don't lay eggs and barely even get up to walk around, so they are kind of invisible. Little bitties don't count because they don't lay eggs, and they could be boys, which would actually be a minus. I can see how this math could get confusing!

What this chiken math about??
Are u gonna trade 3 chick for 1 hen or something??
Chicken math is the mystical art of using mathematical formulas to justify buying more chickens. It's a joke among chicken owners to indicate that they have bought more chickens than they probably should. For example, I planned to purchase 10 new chicks earlier this year, but ended up with 32 new chicks added to my flock of 17. I figured I would lose a few here and there, right? Nope, haven't lost a one, have eggs coming out of my ears and am enjoying the heck out of them. :-)

I ALMOST put myself even further into the negative! I accidently locked one of my cats in the brooder room, with no top on the brooder! I was so scared to open that door. Thankfully, Archie didn't eat them. And I know he must have been hungry being locked in there for 2 hours. Good kitty!

My cats think they are chickens. They live with them.
