Hello All, I got 4 hens a few days ago (5-6 months old) who have been fully enclosed in a coop and 45sqft run ever since. I am attempting to free range them tomorrow night for an hour or two. My yard is fully fenced with 4ft fencing. Can anyone offer any tips or suggestions? My two major concerns are flying over the fence, and getting them back in the enclosed coop/run!!

You might want to leave them up for a few more days to let them know where home is.

before you let them loose, have them trained to come running to a treat jar. Just a jar you can shake with scratch in it, calling here chick, chick... do that a few days, then toss the treat, and they will come running to your voice and the treat jar.
