One more has hatched and I've removed the first one from the incubator before eggs were smashed. Hopefully the 2nd one will dry out enough to join in later tonight

My personal philosophy with zipping is if they aren't out in 1/2 hour, I'm helping.Another question - one chick has tried to zip all round the egg and stopped about two thirds of the way round. It's pierced the membrane and seems to be trying to get out but running out of energy. I'm guessing it can breathe due to the gap in the membrane. Will it eventually get out by itself? It does seem to be finding it very difficult.
Thanks for any help
I went in! I think the chick was just too big to get out. It was enormous! I've turned all the lights down and left it to sleep. Hoping it's going to be ok. Seemed vey unsteady on one of its legs but that might just be due to being so scrunched up. Another one has hatched this eve as well and one has pipped but not zipped yet. At least I think it pipped. Might have been smashed by one of the chicks. It's cheeping so I'll just keep watching......
