First Time Hatching Anyone With Me??

With the bloody pip, is there a definte hole out. The reason I ask this is because the bloody pip means it has missed the air sack. This means it needs air. If there is a definite hole out then thats great just leave it be, but the blood might congeal across any hole sealing it up and meaning that the little one cant breath. I had that on my first ever hatch.

Good luck, and what lovely chick pics - hoping to see some more soon!

There is a good sized hole. I think it is open, I cant see it that well . It has been about 24 hours now since I first saw the pip. Should I intervene? I have been hesitant to get a closer look, not wanting to jeopardize the rest of the hatch.

I have one more that hasn't piped yet. I figure I will give it at least another 12 hours and then maybe think about doing some helping. Gosh its hard to keep my hands out.

We have 3 pips.. My daughter is loving this as we are too! And a couple more moving around in there.,,, SO MUCH FUN!

I think we are hooked!

Its just soooo exciting isn't? Careful about staring at the incubator to long, I gave myself a wicked headache yesterday.

It was about 12+ hours. The wait is hard!!! But once they start zipping it seems to go really fast!
