First Time Hatching Anyone With Me??

I have 2 bowls of water with sponges in them in two corners of the incubator and it's only bringing the humidity up to 62%. They are both under vents plus they are full. I also have a tube I can put into the reservoirs to fill them, they are both full. I put a humidifier in the room about an hour ago and now the humidity is up to 64%. Hopefully it will go a lot more.

I just checked my humidity- it's up to 67%. I have a pip!! Isn't it too early since hatch day isn't until Monday?
Will it hurt the eggs to get drops of water on them when I refill my water bowls?

Ideally you should have your thermometer/hygrometer setting at the same level as the yoke of the egg. Lower or higher will change your reading and affect your hatch. If your chicks hatch early, your heat was high. If they hatch late, your heat was low. Some breeds like Serama, hatch at 19 days. Silkies and some Bantams can hatch at day 20. Lots to learn. Hope that helped.

I had my thermometer/hygrometer next to the egg turner until I took it out Friday. Now it is proped up against the side of the bator, about even with the yolk of the eggs.
I had one hatch at 5:30 am and another one at 8:00 am. I didn't get to see either one hatch:/ I have two more that have pipped so I'm hoping to be able to see those hatch.
Here's a picture of the first two. I had to take them out since they were trying to stand up and hit the heat ring.

try reading the thread in the main education area. There is humidity to consider and turning them and specific temps etc.
