First time hatching chicks

I can't really see what all is poking out from the photo.

I would guess it's an umbilical hernia, I've never had to deal with that but definitely do not pull on the umbilical cord. If you can separate the umbilical cord from the egg shell will be good so it's not tugging on it. I'd separate back by the shell, not close to the chick. Then keep an eye on it, if the other chicks start pecking it you will need to be ready to intervene. The cord will dry, I've had one that dried but didn't fall off so I did have to snip it up by the chick but it was already fully dried out.

Thank you! I didn't go back enough. I agree with @2ndTink . I've also never dealt with this, but if it was my chick, I'd just keep an eye on it. Definitely separate it if the other chicks start messing with it. Chickens are quite resilient.

The cord part has broken off, it broke off quite quickly. This is what it looks like now, quite dry looking now.

No one else has hatched still, the other three have pipped. So she doesn’t have anyone bugging her.

That's looking pretty good, just leave it be.

The next egg is hatching now, what do I do if that chick pecks at it?

I'd expect them to peck, shove and walk allover each other. Seems pretty brutal but chicks are surprisingly tough.

If it hasn't unwrapped by now, yes, give it a little help, just make sure your hands are clean.

we clipped it and put her back in the incubator, she’s stood a few times but looks a little unsure on her feet still.

Hoping the other eggs haven’t shrink wrapped, one has been pecking at the pip quite a bit but still hasn’t started unzipping. It popped around 5:30 this morning, so still hasn’t been that long. It’s moving and I heard it chirp.
