First time hatching duck eggs..HELP PLEASE

my first ducks pipped at day 24, started hatching on day 25 so be ready for a early lockdown. its possible they could pip early. just be ready and check them often after day 23. good luck

I am with you! I set 12 ducks (Pekin and Mallard) on 3-20. I keep my humidity 55-65 for 1-18 days and then 70-75 for the last three days. When are you putting them in the incubator?

Oh and Good luck!!!

I set my first ducks late Sunday night!! They are a mix from a local BYCer!!! (TattooQ27)

Exactly how I do it. It seems the duck eggs need to be at a bit higher humidity than chicken eggs. I find if the humidity is not past 70% during hatch, the membrane dries and help is needed to get them out. I have misted the eggs with warm water daily on a couple hatches and seen no difference than when I do not mist. Mine seem to pip early too. I try to keep the temps in the still air Hova Bator at about 100 degrees, but it fluctuates a degree in either direction. Sorry, I never hatched a goose egg before, so no help on that one. Good Luck and here's a little eye candy to get you through..

Ooh, I just noticed Namble has the info for a 21 day incubation.. it would be 55-65 humidity for the first ** 25 ** days then 70-75 (I even go 80) days 25 to 28.
Miss Cluck.. Poofs are fun
