Maybe yours are hatched by now! Let us know! Well it's day 13 and on day 10 I candled the eggs-I think only 3 have babies growing in them

out of the 12. 5 look infertile-just the yolk moving around. One looks like it started to grow but stopped after a few days

Some I just don't know what is going on in them. First time incubating and these were shipped eggs so if I get 3 hatching I will be happy. I really am quite scared to throw any out - should I wait till lockdown and then decide to throw out the obvious duds? These are blue bantam eggs, and some it's hard to see what the hoot is in there-so I don't want to make a mistake.

Well one baby has hatched-checked the eggs at 6:30pm no action-then at 9pm when I came home and one chick was all out and drying up nicely. It's only day 19 and lockdown was yesterday. What a quick hatch! I missed the whole thing! lol. 2 more to hatch out and it's time for bed. I know I will be checking them all night. Hope I get a little sleep though.

No pipping from the other eggs yet. But then I heard nothing from the first one. Sneaky babies

Well only one baby hatched-waited till day 25 before I through out the other two :-( One was fully formed but never peeped. I think the other one died before it was fully formed. So sad. But little "Sweetpea" is going strong. Had to get her a couple of chick friends so she would grow up happy. I will post a pic of her. I think I will be getting a auto turning incubator for next time I hatch.

This pic is of Sweetpea just hatched and the second picture is of her with some older friends, to keep her company, I have another one of her now with her pretty feathers coming in. Just waiting for my email to upload it.
