This is my first time hatching, and Lockdown is 3 hours away. i have the brinsea Mini Advance, i have read AND followed the instructions of the incubator, and have followed instructions from other hatching members here on BYC.

My Questions are:

1. Do i fill both center slots of the incubator with water, or just one????

2. Do i have to increase the temp on the bator for lockdown??

3. when eggs are hatching, do i turn the bator off, or keep it on???

4. how long should i keep the chicks in the bator after the last one hatches???

1. Do i fill both center slots of the incubator with water, or just one????
That depends on what the humidity is now in your incubator. Lots of different opinions on hatching humidity, I keep mine at 35-40% for the first 18 days and 65% during lockdown. Use your hygrometer.

2. Do i have to increase the temp on the bator for lockdown??
Temp stays the same.

3. when eggs are hatching, do i turn the bator off, or keep it on???
fLeave the incubator on.

4. how long should i keep the chicks in the bator after the last one hatches???
Usually about 24 hours, til they're good and dry.

Good luck with your hatch!
