First time hatching.... Need advice.

I have only had my Hovabator 1588. I have never had a Little Giant so I cannot compare quality based on my personal experiences. You can get a lemon with anything, but still, if I have a bad experience with just one I’m not a fan. Some people have had bad experiences with Styrofoam incubators. Some people lump all Styrofoam incubators together, no matter who makes them or if they are still air or forced air. How many of those problems come from the quality of the incubator or the ability of the person operating it, I don’t know. I suspect some of both.

All I can say from experience is that my Genesis Hovabator 1588 works well enough for me after I got that temperature adjustment taken care of. If I were hatching more than once or twice a year I’d probably upgrade to a Brinsea for ease of cleaning. Based on personal experience I can’t say any more than that.

Thanks for all the info. I am planning on doing lots of hatching through out the year. Mostly my own eggs but I do want to try some shipped eggs. I have only had chicks shipped in the past but now need to hatch my own.
