The first set of eggs I got was from ebay (which was a big mistake only 1 out of 10 made it).

Did you follow Pete’s guide for hatching shipped eggs? I’m doing my first hatch as well and got my eggs off of eBay and it really helped to stabilize and position all of my air cells. I know of another member who has hatched exclusively from shipping eggs as well with success. Something to look into if you haven’t already.
