    Hello All!

I have not tryed hatching chicks yet, but can't wait to start!
What I am wondering is what to do with the cockerels? I live were I have neighbors close and cant have roosters. I am going to try Golden Comets first so telling them apart when they hatch won't be a problem.

    Thanks for your time

You can sell them on here or eggbid or ebay or give them away to a local farm....

I cull mine once they are mature enough to start crowing. It keeps us with chicken dinners all through the winter. I raise mostly dual purpose birds. I usually save the best rooster for breeding, but usually I try to pick the quietest one to keep. They all have different personalities.
Regardless my roosters still have a much better life than the chickens you find at the store. Mine get snacks and green grass under their feet and the companionship of other chickens. Not like those factory guys.
