I set 14 eggs in my bator this morning at 5:30!!! I'm SUPER nervous! I ordered 9 Lavender Orphington eggs and 5 Olive Egger eggs and I let them settle a few days. This is my first hatch ever! I always buy babies. I would appreciate all advice about incubating!!

Thanks!

I have one inside with the eggs. It tells temp and humidity. But the instructions said temp should be 99.5 to 100 degrees F. Some things I've read say that's too low, that the chicks will develop too slowly. What do u think? My temp has been 100.5 and 63% humidity. Is that good? Too low? Too high?

Thanks!! :)

Well normally people say 45% is the regular thing. But were dabbling with dry incubation, which should be no easy to find if you google it. Because our first hatch didn't go so well, we got nine out of twenty four eggs. And when it goes to lockdown on day eighteen, you'll have to up the humidity to near what you have it now.

And that depends on if you have a still air incubator or a still air. Something you could also google/yahoo easily.

There is a learning centre in the forums that probably has really good info. As me and my mother are only on our second incubation. ;)
