Ok. I have a Little Giant Incubator that I going to put 4 eggs into tonight. I would like it is anyone could give me some advice about hatching with a bator. Iv'e only hatched eggs with broody hens so i'm hoping it goes well. Once again any advice would be great like how many times a day you turn the eggs....ect. ect.

Cole

Cole, are you hatching very dark eggs or medium to light eggs.

Go to incubating and hatching section and you will find lots of info. Also can go to "Learning Center"

they are medium to light eggs. they are small bantams. two seramas, 1 serama/cochin mix, and one americana bantam/polish bantam mix.

Is your LG a still air ??

Still air : Temp 100-102 ( I find with my LG that if I keep the the temp a little above 101 it will only drop to 99.8-100 at night ) LG's are known to drop in temp.

Day 1-18 keep hum 30%-40%

Day 18 up hum to 65%, stop turning eggs AND DONT OPEN THE BATOR AGAIN till ALL chicks have hatched !!!

Turn eggs at least 3X a day (always turn an odd number of times)

I would candle at least once (day 12 should be ok) so you can take out any bad/dud eggs. You wouldnt want anything to explode in there. Keep your nose open also, if you smell any funky smell (rotting egg) make sure you find it and toss out !!

If you need any more info just ask !!

Good luck.
