First time incubating: how do they look so far?

My cousin loaned me an LG still air incubator, haven't ever tried to hatch eggs before, but I put 6 of my own chickens eggs in and now I'm on day 6.

I candled them and I was astonished that they are actually looking like they're supposed to! It's so exciting! I'm pretty sure I even saw a dark spot wiggle and move today.

It's hard to get good pics, but here's what I've got. What do you guys think? Is everything looking good? I have a small amount of water in one small tray - our house is pretty dry, we burn wood - I don't have a hygrometer to measure humidity and I'm not sure what the air cell is supposed to look like on day 6.

Oh, and I've already ordered myself a Genesis 1588 with an auto turner because I'm hooked!

Since it seems they're all viable, I'm not wanting to screw anything up! Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated :)
I've been reading a lot on here and the Hatching 101 article was great!

Looking good! I just spent some time last night watching my own little embryos on day six move around. It's really amazing to see.

I,m a couple of days ahead of you but this is my first time too. Ive had chicks before but with a broody mum.

I havent candled yet because I think I'm too nervous and worried but looking at yours i think tomorrow eve i will try :)
I dont have a proper candler but i have a bright light on my iphone so i will try with that or a torch. Fingers crossed !

Good luck with your hatch !!

This is really encouraging to me as well. I'm trying out my first ever incubation, and when I tried to do a quick candling yesterday I saw absolutely NOTHING. I did another quick check tonight, and I definitely saw some spider veins in some of them. Still can't really see squat inside the green shelled eggs, but at least I know something is working OK if the blue eggs are progressing. I have no pics, but what I saw looked a lot like your photos!

I'm a first time hatcher too. My eggs start day 14 at 8pm tonight so only a week to go. I'm so anxious and excited! Good luck with your eggs :)

Development looks great.

It may be the photos and my getting older eyes but it seems your air sacs are all on the small end of egg? If this is the case you may have problems at hatching time. Air sacs should develop at fat end of egg.

Basic air cell development (not gospel but good reference to let you know if humidity is too high or low):

Does the air cell develop on the fat end of the egg because we're supposed to incubate with the pointy end down?

I haven't incubated yet, I'm just starting to read up on it :)

@egghead: I've kept them pointy end down and I'm almost certain the air cells have stayed at the fat end. It may be the way I was holding the eggs while candling.
I'll candle again in a few days. Thanks for the air cell reference pic!
I have a hydrometer on the way.. I'll start tracking humidity and adjusting as needed by using the pic against my own eggs. I can see there's definitely an art to this stuff! I'm learning as I go. Sure is fun :)
Thanks everyone for the good wishes!
