This morning when I put them in lock down took them out of the egg carton and layed them down the eggs were wiggling. Now there not doing anything. I hope they were just repositioning themselves and they didn't die. LOL

Congratulations Lacey, you have life!

And Udovichtony; Chicks need sleep, just like we do. They are probably resting. Give them a couple days and I think they'll come out to meet you.

I'm beside myself with excitement! I candled my 8 mallard eggs this afternoon on a whim (day 5) and I see veining in all but one. Will be setting chicken eggs tomorrow. If I'm this excited now, what am I gonna do for the next 3 weeks?

The wait has started! I don't know how you're going to be able to handle it. A few of us here went out and bought chicks to tide us over until ours hatched. Dirty_South_Chickens has started a huge fridge-bator and I already have another set of eggs in the incubator and another two dozen on the way and another incubator on the way too....

I hope the wait doesn't hit you as hard as it did us.

Not that I'm complaining

This morning i set 17 self blue OEGB eggs and 5 black sex link x OEGB eggs in addition to my 7 good mallard eggs. The bator is full! I am now twiddling my thumbs for 3 weeks. I'm beginning to see why people have multiple incubators!! Good thing my husband finished my brooder yesterday. Y'all hurry and hatch more to occupy my time til March 19!
