Well I am a nervous wreck. Humidity is at 70 percent ish. I don't know if its a ghost but I had one egg that was facing circle straight up. And last night it had rolled towards another egg. Now this am its half way back to its start position. Not sure what's going on there. But I'm calling this day 20 and other than that roll not a peep or chirp or anything. Really don't think anything will happen. Got my next batch nearly ready to go in. As I figured nothing was going to happen with these. But I'm still a wreck!!

Never give up until a few days after hatch. I read some peoples eggs don't hatch until 22-24. But I know how you feel. My first hatch had 20 eggs and nothing.

Mine is a homemade one also. Pretty big cabinet style one. 2 on the dide for the heat lamps are 75watt and i have a 40w yellow bug light that stays on all the. Now this before I remodeled it. I bought this used. But the lights are in the same place.

That big fan is now a small 4" computer fan. lol. This pic is just to show you where the bulbs are.

I have heard about that too. But I suppose you just wouldn't think it. The eggs just laying there silently. Nothing at all happening. Time melting away. Good job I'm mega busy or I'd be staring at them constantly. I was thinking maybe leaving it till Friday morning then having a quick look at them to see if there was anything to be seen then making a choice from there. Oh well we never know really. They are buff Orpingtons which are big birds. dad is 2ft high. So maybe they hatch on the late side of day 21.
Thanks for the hope x and sorry about your loss I can feel your sence of anguish. Lol
