That sounds like the old model of the 9300. I have two of those & hated those things. They use a rheostat to control temperature. Your trying to put in just as much heat as is leaking out. The problem is when the environment on the outside changes so does how fast you lose heat. I had an alarm on mine that measured a pretty big swing every 30 minutes & I adjusted it often. They would work best down in a basement where there wasn't anything to effect the temperature. I'm getting ready to order to more temperature controllers like in a thread I posted a few days ago to fix this problem. These things are cheap insurance & I'm blown away at the accuracy & function of something that costs so little.
