Ear/Sinus Infection?

Nothing obvious upon cutting her open. One of her ears deep inside had a very hard deposit completely filling the canal. I was able to crush it, but it had almost a leathery quality. She had no meat on her bones in spite of eating quite a lot of food since Thanksgiving. Breast was starting to get concave. Clearly beyond my skills to heal.

She had one very small yolk developing, not the normal cluster of them. As expected considering she hadn't layed in months.

I don't think a blocked up ear is likely to have caused her to waste away.

You did everything you could and the right thing at the right time. This definitely sounds like it was not fixable. Bless you and this is STILL a happy ending. She isn’t suffering. We may not have the answers now…I’ll add it to the list of questions I have when we get to the hereafter!
