If my whole flock were vaccinated... then I might very well be sure to vaccinate new birds, specifically against Marek's.... IF I were YOU.

I personally don't vaccinate for anything. If I was offered a chick that was vaccinated for Marek's dz. I'd kindly decline and refuse to add it to my flock. I also do not use medicated feed. I choose natural methods to deal with both issues... I have never had either in my flock.

I share this sentiment completely for my own flock.

But I have faced BOTH in my flock. Some things are out of our control. And now I know it CAN happen to ME.

And, I have no doubt that it couldn't happen to me. I dread the day that disease enters my flock. I keep a closed flock, but am not naive enough to believe that I will not some day deal with poultry illness.
