So I recently ordered quail eggs, they should be here sometime this week, I've never incubated eggs before. I got an incubator from a friend, I have it running now to get used to using it. I was thinking of putting some chicken eggs in it for now until I get my quail eggs, I am very worried about screwing up the quail eggs. Can I start with a few chicken eggs a few days before the quail eggs? Any idvice? I googled stuff but I feel like advice from people who have done it is a lot more helpful.

You could do that.. but since its your first time and they are on the way I wouldn't suggest a staggered hatch. Make sure you let the eggs sit for a day to settle before starting... there's an article her about incubating shipped eggs if i can find it i will post a link..
